What about on top golfers,, change grip…?
I’m watching this 12 years later and it’s still so satisfying
That right there is the greatest golf swing ever manufactured by mankind
To me that is a pitch. My teaching revolves around the wrists and clubhead.
Love the sound ……..
If I tried that, it would put me in traction…😉
Good stuff but there is no way to predict ball speed by measuring limb lengths any more than you can predict jumping ability without measuring their reaction times, ie their fast twitch etc. so no you can’t predict trackman numbers just by limb lengths.
No one said that.
I'm 5'9" with a wingspan of 72". Forearm to upper arm are equal at 14 1/2". I think I'm more center post but due to experimenting with weight shift to try to hit it farther I'm not sure. Testing with my hands together and moving trail arm back my palms stay pretty much the same. I'm right hand dominant but play golf left handed. Also I'm right eye dominant. I believe that dominant side has an influence on movement and swinging patterns. My grip has been pretty much side on for my trail hand and slightly toward strong with lead hand. Any suggestions on what I should be doing to improve my swing?
I've become interested in your findings.
Yes very stack and tilt I did not realise this by just watching him swing
caught that in the heel a touch I think
Open grip generate more torque should generate more distance?
Tricky. More club head speed yes. But more loft also, so lower smash vs closed face grip. Bryson solved it with very low lofted driver.
His hand to the sky move is mind blowing to think that starts his swing 😮
Great info Terry
@terryrowles , I watch and read everything you and Mike have out. I understand the matchups and everything. I’m an ex bodybuilder with really big shoulders legs and chest. When I use the matchups I have they never seem to work and I know a lot of it has to do with my muscle getting in the way. I’ve read mikes book laws of golf and I know I’m considered a width player but I’m more of and under golfer with center post. The width player Mike used to talk about has an on top grip closed stance and not a lot of rotation. My matchups are just all over the place with my muscle. I have hit a few drives 325 yds I just need to get the right set up to be all gas but I’m always holding back.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. 🙏🏻
Mike doesn’t use laws anymore. Big chest and arms restrict degrees of freedom. Turn chest out of the way early in backswing and most likely stand closed at address.
@@terryrowles yeah you guys use matchups and technology such as force plates etc. I’ve watched a lot of your stuff and love it. I just never really heard you guys talk about more muscle bound golfers that’s why I looked at the laws book. Thank you for the information I really appreciate it!
thats not his hinge and hold.. he has other shots too
Terry do Willy Wilcox swing he trying to make a come back
Looks like a swing that Andy Plummer would like very much.
@terryrowles , I have a question about backswing plane. My wingspan and my height are the same length, but 2 years ago I broke one backbone in my back and now I am 4 centimeters shorter in height because of my injury. Does this affect my wingspan and height measurment, so it affects my backswing and downswing plane?
Yes, based on your description it sounds like it would
Thank you for the answer
Cool video!! this is the right stuff!
Interesting analysis Terry. Inspiring to see as a front post golfer that also has a lot of steepeners! :)
New nomenclature by profiles?
Would also be interested in knowing this. Front load + XYZ = profile 1?
It looks like for a front post golfer your right leg will straighten and on downswing leg stays up instead of flex and forward slide like the Nicklaus more center post swing ?
cool video! i am an side on golfer, which trigger move is that?
you don’t get enough credit for your wit i only got all the terlet joke on 3rd watch
Wow never thought about Reripping so quick in the backswing. Fascinating
He had rory's swing before rory was the man
Nice swing 😄
Go side cover!
That’s amazing. How did you know that’s what I needed to work on😳😜 thx Shorty
I noticed on the One Club website the One Club was used to gain speed. What settings (i.e weight and elastics) were used in training?
Terry, what would you recommend if I am similar in that I am tall, longer wingspan than height, longer forearm, front post, but instead of on top grip I've found side/under or under feels the most stable?
Have you guys given the sportsbox ai this info and noticed some correlations?
Where can i learn more?
マヘシュブパシさん?
Hi Terry, Does this work for all swing types? Are the arms moving the same as for a side cover player?
This could be the most important video I've ever watched. There's nothing worse than bombing a drive and knowing I'm going to mess up the half wedge, even though I practice it ALL THE TIME.
Terry are you working on this because you have found out you yourself are a front-post golfer? I recently found out I am a front-post golfer after 20 years of trying to move against my natural stronger body movements.
Good for you. I am center but tend to hang back with upper body.
Wow his foley swing is very low inside and behind him, swinging extremely left
This is pitching, not chipping.
If he would have stayed with this swing he probably wouldn't have had all the injuries.
I tried her swing years ago - very straight but lost distance
Probably terrific stuff but can’t hear what you are saying even with earbuds on.
I was a regular at Alpine Golf Club where this event was held. The whole country was excited to see Tiger at his peak and boy, was he delivered.... I was there on day 3 when he shot the easiest 65 you ever wish to see... Basically, 2000 Tiger was a complete machine of a golfer. No visible weakness in his game. The course was closed one and a half month in advance to grow the rough and get everything in place to be as difficult as it could be. Tiger fucked it all up when he was there. All 4 days he teed off mostly with the 2 iron and he completely dominated the par 5s (he most probably birdied all of them). His long iron tee shots traveled 260+ yards with very little rolls and divots as big as dinner plates. I've been to more than a few tournaments but his play stuck with me... the sound, the atmosphere. It got to the point when every player and fan knows he will win easily. He's unreal.
I saw him play live at the Canadian Open in this era. I think it was 02 . Even on the range you could see he was so much better than anybody else out there. His ball flight was different. The sound, everything. He won this tournament easy. You'll never see that again. I watch this video a lot. Just to remember what he was like. If your a fan of golf it does not get any better than this!!
I now have weak grip now and this a fantastic video for someone like me. Really love the information you and Mike Adams put out. I am now working with Steve Chalmers who put me through the measurements . The only way golf should be taught!
“That’s not what I taught you” classic terry. 😂
